Mission Complete
Gone away, leaving behind millions,
didn't need the fame, nor the money,
just felt a sense of service,
to his country, to his honey.
Joined up, learned how to defend,
side-by-side with his brother,
for right he'd fight,
sacrifice like no other.
Back home his dedication known,
for our hero we tip our hat,
our hero died this day,
his name - simply Pat.
Sgt Tillman had a cause,
felt a need to do more,
thought all should believe,
"action," he did implore!
We'll miss you, not just on Sunday,
but the entire year long,
for we need those who do right,
while others find favor in wrong.
Rest now faithful soldier,
just take a seat,
Your mission here on earth...
is now complete.
