Her Eyes
Inside her eyes,
mountains I’ve climbed,
rivers I’ve run,
now on clouds I ride.
She lifts me up,
with just a glance or a wink,
crowned with jewels,
I’m her prince -- so she thinks.
A twinkling smile,
glistening as she gazed,
into the heavens,
still reeling, and dazed.
Her gaze gave me reason,
to carry on,
fight the good fight,
a raging war won.
So many words,
her look she would give,
young man in love,
she gave reason to live.
Her stare falls on the floor,
quiet and still,
her magic she brought,
now equaled the thrill.
Deep, deep, in the recess,
I wonder where,
oceans of tears,
expose how deep she cares.
Her proven beauty,
shows in that look,
she shared herself,
outside that book.
