A Boy So Bright
Now his daughter,
soon his bride,
to him he'll give her,
by him she'll abide;
a strand of three cords –
wife, husband, their Lord's,
obedient to each other –
Christ, sister, and brother.
Through rain and fire,
forsaking their desire,
two become one,
second only to none;
forever together they'll be,
til’ they're with God, in eternity;
as one they'll love,
God's blessings of.
He'll keep her close,
she'll hold him tight,
fears of the dark,
fade in His light;
for on that day,
with her dressed in white,
a man stood still,
a boy beamed bright.
