One Moment In Time
She didn't just walk towards me, she glided
It was like the air was alive, under her command
and it caressed her
It moved with her, it moved for her, it carried her
I was overwhelmed, overcome
my knees wanted to buckle
my heart began to race
I thought I was going to collapse
There she was standing before me
I was frozen, paralyzed, in a trance,
then she smiled
and there was silence...
I had never felt so comfortable
in my whole life
and in that one moment in time
I fell madly in love
I moved in close barely touching her side
Tilted my head to a perfect 45
With my hand I gently touched her cheek
guiding her closer, just an inch away from me
A soft wind blew as we looked in each other's eyes
For a moment we stood motionless as if frozen in time
She took her hand and placed it on my chest
closed her eyes and took a deep breath
If I were to live for all eternity
the only place I would want to be
is wrapped up within the arms of this angel by my side
in this special place where all my happiness lies
The moment our lips touched it sent chills down my spine
I was overwhelmed by the images racing through my mind
I saw everything that ever happened in my life
and realized that every minute, had brought me to her side
The stars all around
seemed to twinkle extra bright
and the moon sang a melody
that echoed through the night
It was like the whole world
didn't exist anymore
We had entered our own universe
and it was waiting to be explored
We were rocketing down
an old country two lane
in an uncharted land
where the sky was the limit,
and horizons didn't exist.
Fate and Destiny
were helium balloons in the wind
tethered lightly to the bumper,
we were headed for one destination....
Forever
