One Life
One Life
There was something in the wind,
listen as it drifts by…
The battlefield littered with pieces of bravery
mother sings in the distance,
wandering children with toys in hand
pull the trigger of indifference.
They all want to win but none know how
so they just fire away,
all the while trying to decide
which game they want to play.
“Believe as I do or die”
is a worthy catalyst to fuel every fight,
the band plays on as yin and yang
dance through the night.
The stage is set the actors in place
and they perform from the heart,
when the show is over and the audience is pleased,
that’s when death plays it’s part.
There was someone in the wind,
..I heard him drift by.
