    I found this buried deep in the closet. I'm not sure when I wrote it, but I would guess late 80's.

    Everyday




    Sick person dies
    Newborn cries
    Birds in a tree
    Rivers to the sea


    Kid gets a gun  
    Clouds block the sun
    Cameras snap the image
    No room for the timid


    Everyday everywhere everything and everyone
    will feel will steal
    will be tested or rejected
    will know where to go
    will decide or die


    A brunette becomes a blonde 
    War rages on
    A groom and his wife
    Soldiers fighting for their life


    A man on death row
    Someone is killed for what they know
    A poet and his dreams
    Life ain't what it seems


    Everyday everywhere everything and everyone
    will need will succeed
    will take a stand and demand
    will face their fate
    will sail or fail


    Depression on the rise
    Gotta get high
    Sit and watch the show
    Buy what you're told


    Another day ends
    Made a new friend
    Two lovers embrace
    Brings a smile to a face


    Everyday everywhere everything and everyone
    will be will see
    will fear what isn't clear
    will fight for what's right
    will inspire or retire


    You can be up or down
    Spinning all around
    No holds barred
    Earnin' your scars


    A new day in the making
    All here for the taking
    Life is heaven or hell
    So you better choose well

    a solid beat increasing in tempo as it moves along the stanzas.....like well produced progressive music.......your talent speaks well here.

    "No holds barred, Earnin' your scars" Ain't it the truth! I caught the rhythm and by the second stanza I was hooked. I enjoyed this poetic departure...very different, and that in SavVy speak means GOOD!

    Kaleidoscope fixed on life...dialed outward to wide screen. Your vision is never narrow, Artie, your wisdom never dull. That's why we keep living...experiencing, tasting, loving, crying...all the while dying to a broader sense of ourselves and the Universe around us - loved this.
