    A Journey To The Surface

    A Journey To The Surface

    1
    I feel helpless

    I feel hopeless

    I feel useless

    I feel free

    2
    I feel helpless
    Stagnant
    Invisible
    Silent

    I feel hopeless
    Lost
    Defeated
    Inadequate

    I feel useless
    Stupid
    Weak
    Broken

    I feel free
    Disconnected
    Fearless
    Unaffected

    3
    I feel helpless
Stagnant as the world passes me by
Invisible as they walk on me
Silent for none hear me scream

    I feel hopeless
    Lost within my own home
    Defeated by unanswered dreams
    Inadequate from never having stood

    I feel useless
Stupid for the choices I've made
Weakened from having never been tested
Broken from allowing it to continue

    I feel free
    Disconnected from the common patterns
    Fearless to the consequences
Unaffected by the scores who judge me

I can not express how much I can relate to this, I really felt what you were trying and succeeded to convey, excellent

    I couldn't agree with you more. ~E

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
