Fireflies
Fireflies
The fleeting sun,
half dipped into the semi turbulent ocean,
overlooked by sporadically littered,
low level clouds, with illuminated underbellies,
casting a pink and purple glow,
are perfectly reflecting the random thoughts,
zipping through this stargazers mind
and bringing a spectacular ending,
to this frosty winter day.
It is here, in this small sliver of the universe
filled with an ethereal song of stars;
here where breath warms the cosmos
and a passion hungry pen, feasts upon my hand;
it's here, that the dreams
of this sheet of paper are fulfilled,
allowing me to, ever so briefly,
capture existence in firefly jars.
