    Beyond The Looking Glass

I want to see how deep
    the rabbit hole goes,
to venture beyond the looking glass,
into a world of touch, taste and feel

    My imagination knows no bounds,
    my heart no fear,
my will flows with the power of rapids in spring thaw,
my eyes hunger to see what is real

    The pen that awaits
    the hand of the dreamer,
    the wind that embraces
    the bird in flight

    Feed me
    Feed upon me

almost speechless - I really really love this one. You've captured the surreal moment when we let go and leap - and you've done it perfectly. there's not a high enough rating for how much I like this. Excellent.

I believe that your imagination knows no bounds and your heart no fear. That is for sure. Very enticing poem. Smiles!

Did I mention my real name is Alice?...lol... I love this!!! You have brilliantly communicated the insatiable curiosity you hold, that catapults you to depths of reason and knowledge far beyond the parameters of perceived limitation your world presents...in a SHORT, no less. Yeah...I'm rolling my eyes in jealousy...lol...bravo, Artie! :-)

Your imagination and gift for bringing your thoughts alive with the written word simply inspires the rest of us. Another excellent write.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
