How I decided to pursue my MBA has been a decision that I have had since the year of 2000. I was in the middle of a discussion at which time I realized that the only way I would ever be able to finally succeed at my dreams was to not stop going to school till I finished with my PhD.
During the years of college for my bachelors degree I realized that I truly enjoyed learning. I also realized how much I felt proud of my success, and this came to me after I had been told by my ex husband that I would never be worth anything. I felt the passion to be the voice of those who could not speak for themselves, and have the strength to be able to get out of a bad situation. When I finished my bachelors degree, I realized that I missed the interaction and challenges of the classes with other people. I also realized that I did not want to stop till my dream as a child was finally fulfilled a dream of never being a quitter, a dream of being the voice of those who can not speak out, a dream of success.
The dream of success will come with being able to gain the knowledge of patience, diversity and creativity. Being able to have completed my MBA program in April 2008 gave me the strength to give others the window to look out at the world through different eyes. The difference seen through those eyes will realize that not everything is outside of reach, and to gain the knowledge to cross all boundaries in any obstacle in my life will be the success of my dreams.
I have gained a whole new way of learning how to deal with issues in my life. I have learned how to communicate in a way other than what I have always been able to speak. I want to be able to have people understand me, I want them to understand how I think, how I have become who I am in life. I want people to understand how my personality is able to switch from one realm of thinking to another with not only the constant changes of events, I want to show people a side of me that is seen through the success of my visions and memories.
My ultimate goal is to gain a career in what I believe God has in store for me. I want to be able to pass on the stories of hard work, reading back over the many papers that I have written, sharing a cup of tea with new friends that I have crossed paths with, and to pass on the mountain of information that only the completion of my MBA program has given me. I want to be the hero in my children’s eyes. That hero is giving my children the path to a better way of life, the tools for them to use and the guidance to know that their dream will come true.
