The Visitor

As I looked into the eyes
Of the stranger ghost
I seen the past of
The years silently gone by.
The stranger ghost speaks
When you feel your day is dark
Always remember the Son
When you look for that hand
To lead you down the darkened path.
I looked upon the stranger ghost
For I saw a glimpse of hope,
He smiled gently and once again spoke.
Think of your Father
When the rain falls heavy,
And you feel your spirit is weak,
Always remember the Sacrifice
That Jesus spoke of from
The Cross of Calvary.
Father, He cried, I ask
Your guidance and the
Strength to carry on;
From all the pain that they
Have caused my family
Through the years long gone.
They see not what I have become
From the path you
Have chosen for me,
They call for your forgiveness
In my goodness and peace.
A tear fell upon my cheek
As I looked into the strangers eyes,
He whispered those words that
Were like a stranger to my ears.
Please help those who I have
Cherished to once again believe
That when the Son shines
His love upon you
They can walk the streets of Calvary.
The Stranger Ghost smiled
As he gently took my trembling hands,
Once again He reminding me
That the faith I have always prayed for
Upon my feet will stand.
He one last time spoke of words that
Only a true spirit could muster,
Build upon your foundation
The love of those you surround!
For the Father is your window
To the brightly warmth of my Son.
Always open up your heart’s door
And let the heavenly rays in
For then I watched speechlessly
As the Stranger Ghost faded
In the nightly dim.

Good poem-very moving.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
