The Freedom Walk

The Freedom Walk

Your bombs fell short,
Your words cut light,
Saddam Hussein
America will fight.
For freedom and honor
Of our comrades
In tow.
For many bombs
It soon will snow.
Your days turn night,
your fear we see,
for the people of IRAQ
will soon be free.
The children sing
The fathers weeps
As the heavens turn
To the Iraqi streets.
The mothers pray
As the lights shine new,
For our American eagle
Flies proud and true.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
