Irreverent Pleasures

Irreverent Pleasures

Hands bound, mascara filled tears
stream trails down your flushed cheeks.
I strip you bare
exposing you to my hungry mind

My fingertips trace ever so gently
like the wind across the water,
the ripples flow,
leaving inhibitions resigned

Your insatiable thirst gives you a grin
as twisted pleasures awaken,
imagination flows
to the dry riverbed.

My fangs sink into your bottom lip
thighs tightly clenched,
your knees grinding together
yearning to be spread.

I stand at the gate
ready to invade this kingdom of want
beckoned by the overpowering scent
that drops me to my knees

I step back in defiance
and watch as you writhe,
dangling on the edge of pleasure,
bound, exposed, and begging for release.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
