    A Breath Of Air

We all see the same sun in the sky
    but we all look
    through different eyes

Awaiting the return of the bringer of light
    only to discover
    the keeper of the night

Looking within to find the one
    I took my first steps
as if life has just begun

    I am a man, I am a child
I am alone, I am many
I am civil, I am wild

The lifespan of a breath of air
    blows away with the wind
    on it's journey to everywhere

Hey Artie! :) This caught me by surprise, from the title - I kinda expected a darker piece .. maybe with words like choking and gasping. lol :) ... but this is very nice philosophical write! Great job my friend! :) Ken

The conclusion was the summation of all that you personally breathed into this piece... Full circle your outlook is always a prophetic pleasure for the reader to secure!! 10

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
