The Teddy Bear Cares
Right when you get it, and you cry in your cribHe won't mind the drool, that falls off your bib
and he won't mind the smells that come from your underwear
The Teddy Bear Cares
He is there for comfort when you first learn to walk
He is the companion that understands your talk
And the babbles and the whines and the smiles and the cheers
The Teddy Bear Cares
When you start school, and when you start to learn
He is the one who waits, at home for your return
He listens to times you had, loves the times you share
The Teddy Bear Cares
He is your comfort when the parents start to fight
He is your protection when you sleep at night
He guards against the monsters that are lurking everywhere
The Teddy Bear Cares
And when you forget him, and somewhere he hides
he waits for yout to find him, wherever he may lie
He waits to have more fun, even when you don't care
The Teddy Bear Cares
And when you come to throw away
he knows no hate to what you say
the simple toss, that stings the air
The Teddy Bear Cares
And when you change your mind, "Hey Wait!"
But you realize that it's too late
somewhere in a landfill, buried there...
The Teddy Bear Cares
