Poem Commentary

I don't know about you, but I feel like there's always that person in your life who thinks they know what's better for you. Better than what you know. And they don't trust you when you tell them you know what your doing. And sure they're right some times, but sometimes there bound to be wrong. Right? Probabilities... Anyway, I'm sure you don't know anyone like that, anyone at all. Lucky you.

The Second Fight

Wake up, move and eat
There is no time just to think
Wait up, there's some thing
That is stopping you from sleep

It watches over everything, an omnipresent soul
It has a plan for everyone, a simple stubborn goal
You always know that it's around, a light inside your heart
It bothers you until you die, and still does not depart

If you walk or wake or want or take or bath or bathe or breed
If you talk or shout or dance or doubt there's nowhere safe for you to breath
      or a place to speak.

Now she sounds like she just knows it all, An omnipotent being
A life alone is not her goal, she just takes everything
She knows what's best for you and you, but never just herself
She cares for every creature, 'cept for big birds, bears and bats,
                                                                   roaches, sharks and rats,
                                                                    Doesn't care for cats
                                                                spiders, snakes and brats
                                                                        Or anything like that.
No she's always one with something, and currently it's crap
So, if you... wait, she's here again; bite the tongue and launch the grin
Scream inside and blink your eyes,
Man the deck and Comprimise!?
Something worth it's sure inside.
For she knows everything.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
