Poem Commentary

So, here's another poem that I submitted to a contest. I really hope I don't win (but I secretly do, because I'm a liar), and I know I'm not gonna win... For some reason, another one of my poems got published and won the World Poetry Contest . It was total crap and I hate it... but it won... I suck...

English Minor

My teachers, I'm sure, have taught the differences
between pros and poetries, pros and cons,
  of fragments. of run-ons,
We read Ovid and Kafka, when desperate Thoreau,
Make jokes like Tim Burton Allen Poe,
Oh you read Micheal Crichton, social reader?
Oh God, Shakespeare, Shakespeare, pentameter...
But will we actually remark? Extra! Extra! Extra Credit?
See what the blind poets, and so forth
Oh will we suffer?
Oh you cannot say 'starving 'artist' without writing something new.
Preferring passage because I know the meaning of 'bemused,'
This belittling pain of the narrator is all you can ask.
 That, or a B minus.
For, I have failed the class.
