Undaunted
In this time I wait for you,
I fear I may lose you again.
I think of the years we have lost
and the life that could have been,
We both are much older;
time has taught us many things.
But the one thing I rebuffed,
tried to sever all strings,
has appeared again with fervor
and I try to respond with tact.
Then I hear the voice I love,
and my heart starts to react.
I see your face inside my mind,
every second, every minute, every hour.
And still to me your beauty
outshines the most radiant flower.
My love for you is undaunted,
and it will be for all time.
It's the one thing I won't allow
to diminish or become sublime.
If we are never together again,
I don't get to grow old with you,
just remember I'll always cherish
the short lifetime I spent loving you.
forever in my heart, eternity in my soul...
