Remembrance and Apologies
I see your face often, remembering a love long gone.
I think of you sometimes,
remembering what went wrong.
Never since those days
when we lie in each other's arms
has there ever been a love
that has made me feel as warm.
It's been long years since we last talked
and I've wondered if somewhere deep down.
If there's ever a glimmer, a reminder of the days,
of the life and love we've both known.
And yes I know you are happy know,
having all you have ever wished.
Yet there will always be a part of me
that wonders if I am truly missed.
