Shocking Revelations - Moving On
Pain is inevitable.Nothing can stop fate from
crashing through your boundaries
and ripping to shreds every tiny
bit of hope and reliance that
you have stored up for a rainy day.
If you lose something that you
never truly had, then nothing is lost.
But when you lose something that a piece
of your heart was attached to,
that is where the pain comes from,
and you always know when that happens.
Love is fleeting; sex is meaningless
unless you're married, and commitment
is as hard to come by as a cure for AIDS.
To stand still and let life crash
in around you is foolish, and I'll be
damned if I will continue to live this way.
__________
Moving on isn't as hard as it seems.
Looking back takes less and less effort every day.
And when you finally reach the point of lucidity,
the time has finished it's cycle of pain,
this time around.
