Fireheart
I hear the drums beat in the skyI see the fire flash before my eyes
Twilight waters pour onto the ground
I'm in search for what may never be found
I'm a warrior with paint on face
I come and go without a trace
My gods speak to me in their tongue
No time for rest for I must run
On a lifequest in search of the truth
Finding the path to manhood from youth
Seeking favor from my father's face
Not wanting to be the death of my race
I climb the mountain up so high
My father's face lights up the sky
He gives me prowess and control
I give him praise and all of my soul
My path divides as I soldier forth
Not sure if I go south or head north
I trust my judgement and soldier on
But if I am wrong my father loses a son
I continue my journey filled with doubt
The stars in the heavens covered by clouds
My decision I feel has cost me my life
And if I go back I must face father's knife
Into the dark night and heart of the storm
Carry me now and show me my home
Fire in my heart and ice in my veins
I ride through the night on a horse with no reins
The path I've chosen is the wrong way
I pray survival just one more day
Still yet the fire crosses the sky
And now I know one day I will die
I will live atop the sun
For no longer must I run
As the sun rolls across the sky
It is now my time to die
On this mountain will you bury me
My father's face will watch over me
A lone arrow marks my sacred ground
It is yours if it is ever found
