    TO TURN FROM GOD

     

    Finding a path without a light.

    Having No purpose to Be at all.

    A contender, losing this spiritual fight.

    Having No purpose to Be at all.

     

    Long days spent without HIM.

    Who is able to prevent me from this terrible Fall?

    A contender, losing this spiritual fight.

    Having No purpose to Be at all.

     

    Gave up on the journey to find my own way,

    Finding a path within the consuming darkness.

    Preoccupied now, will seek God another day.

    Can’t see No light! For this road is darkness.

     

    Finding a path without a light.

    Having No purpose to Be at all.

    A contender, losing this spiritual fight.

    I agree that God picks you up where you walk away.

    When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
