BUT WHAT ABOUT YOUR BROTHER?
You made it out of the crack house, and returned to corporate America.
Hearing a whispering voice relaying thoughts of conviction:
“But What About Your Brother?”
Just when you realized that there is a GOD,
Adjusted your life accordingly, and began producing works
Worthy of the one that created your being.
Feeling a shadow in the corner, slowly approaching,
Conveying troubled thoughts of years past,
Penetrating your inner barriers,
And brought it to your remembrance:
“But What About Your Brother?”
Daily acts of Christianity you perform on this stage of earth.
Playing your part to the extreme,
All while collecting awards of little significance.
The great actor you’ve become, but a silent voice in the crowd
Whispered words most forgotten to your soul:
“But What About Your Brother?”
