    BETWEEN MAN AND WIFE

Do you take this woman to be your lawful wife?

To hold and to have for self, while forsaking all others?

Sure problems will come, and sometimes everlasting elongated strife.

But just remember this is your awesome, lovely God sent wife.

Do you take this man to be your lawful husband?

To love unconditionally, while forsaking all others?

Sure situations will happen, and you will have to take a stand,

But just remember this is your awesome, handsome God sent Man.

I love this breakdown of the marriage vows.....I will try not to complain no more......we kinda touched bases on this a little last night.....But when GOD speaks, It is LOUD and clear. The part that stands out for me in this poem is " GOD sent". My instructor said, "It is a Gift" and we know that gifts from God should be charished......Thank You! Lovely and Well Put!

Awe! How refreshing it is to read a tribute to marriage! Something so sacred that some, take so lightly! Thank you for this wonderful piece! God bless you!

Blessed are those who takes marriage as sacred as humanly possible. I love your message.

Thank you very much for commenting on my poem.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
