    THE APPLIED SCIENCE OF CHRISTIANITY

     

    The applied science of Christianity it not a science at all.

    For how can you calculate a formula to interpret the wonders of God?

    How can you replicate the great offer of salvation with the works of tainted man?

    Not a science, but the Art of Love best describes the idea of salvation for all.

     

    For how can you produce growing living elements within a slow dying world?

    How can you cause the dead to live, even when evidence proved them dead?

    Not a science, but the Art of Love best describes the act of repairing man’s soul.

     

    The applied science of Christianity is not a science at all.

    It’s the Art of painting God’s Love on mankind’s rough canvas,

    In an attempt to create a better man to overcome the previous fall.

    Thank you for continue to read my poems. This poem is kind of special to me, because I have been an actor for so long and have struggled with describing God in artist terms. This poem works for me as an artist and as an christian.

    Thank you for commenting on this piece. In this poem, I just offered my definition of Christianity. I am an artist, therefore I made God fit into the life that he has blessed me with. I guess I just get a working understanding of who God is that way.

    When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
