ON MY PEW SAT HOPE
ON MY PEW SAT HOPE
My soul was encouraged as Hope sat down next to me.
Some say she didn’t bring much, but I felt Her appearance to be sufficient.
Desire and I had waited for Her impatiently,
And now that She had arrived we could carry-on expeditiously.
From our pew, we attempted to get God’s attention.
We waved our hands, clapped, and even danced in front of our seats.
Others around us noticed that we were caught up in the spirit,
But we continued nudging God until He responded accordingly.
We told Him about our problems, concerns, and disagreements.
Hope knew God personally, and had influence.
What seemed impossible before She sat down,
Became a bearable circumstance.
