    The Whispers Are Getting Louder

    Winter whispers, Where has she gone?
    My ears can hear the bells of the season
    A quiet laugh, It seems it has faded
    but where has it gone, was it but a dream
    voices echo, dancing under the icicled tree
    a blue moon, only the winter has noticed
    there getting louder, the whispers turning to screams
    will this winter be covered with white dreams
    I feel the old mans chill, a deep frost
    but this season will not be lost
    lost like the whispers that got louder
    inside feeling the warmth of some clam chowder
    I will not be forgotten, don't let these whispers die
    I see those white dreams and hear winters cry
    The question I ask, Where has she gone?

    she has moved to Nebraska and pops her frigid head out every now and then to put the fear of God in all who look like they are getting too comfortable
