    A Devotion from My Heart

     This Life here on earth seems so short
    but knowing you makes it worth living
    the blessings you've poured upon me
    they have washed me like a fountain
    nature's flowing stream robed in your beauty
    the mountains draped with your glory
    banners of majestic waves are the ocean
    I swim through streams of grace
    paddling to safety, clinging to your outstretched hands

    take pity on us please Lord, my heart is under your care
    You are a beautiful testament of my faith
    Your love is like the whsipering winds I feel
    Your heart it beats like the tick of a clock
    I can feel the brush of the angels , flowing with each thought
    Your breath has filled my lungs, Oh Lord
    Let your blessings fall upon my heart
    Oh amazing grace how sweet you are
    that covers me like the dust of a star
    Your love remains forever to stand
    through trembling waters I seek your glory
    with hands crippled from years of toil
    I push forward to feel the beauty
    Waking eyes embracing your comfort
    let me feel your mercy deep within my soul
