    The Coldside of The Pillow

     She laid her head on the coldside of the bed
    it was everything but warm, atleast thats what she said
    she pulled the covers over her and closed her eyes
    then rolled over to the otherside and kissed me goodnight

    She was waiting for the coldside of the pillow
    she was fadin' like the memories, of the swing hangin' from the willow
    the tree now cracked and old, it's bark keeps it comforted from the shiverin' cold
    She knew that she didn't have long, all her tears were nearly gone

    dried up like the summer pool, she waited for the kids to get home from school
    She left a note underneath her pillow, here are my dreams that withered like the willow
    here are my last few memories before winter strikes, a tear fills my eyes and I refelct upon my life
    So when I got back the home was bare, the pillow was cold her scent no longer there

    Was this all she had left me, or was there more to this
    She moved on with her life, without even one last kiss
    I couldn't bear the pain, it was all too much
    I missed her beauty, her scent and her sweet touch

    Was this but a dream, a nightmare in which I didn't scream
    the coldness now flowed through my veins, the pillow dry of the tear stains
    Where was the warmth I missed, those sweet lips I use to kiss
    they were no longer here with me and now I can clearly see

    I feel the coldside of her pillow everynight....................................

    it's kinda a mystery poem.. At first i thought maybe about a child, then your mother and then your wife or girlfriend.. you have alot of emotion in this one even not expressed.. Sorry for your loss, whatever it may be!
