    Awaken My Muse

    I'd like to awaken my muse
    baby its time to shorten the fuse
    it's life I wish to choose
    even by death I'll never lose

    in the fast lane I slowly crusie
    looking for love, now left a bruise
    could you imagine, walking in my shoes
    never once had to sing the blues

    Now left to accept its over
    never found luck in a four leaf clover
    even as my tears grow older
    I'll remember the love that grew colder

    you never were my crying shoulder
    all I wanted was to hold her
    this love I never showed her
    now it seems I'm even bolder

    I woke up in a world of love
    I fell asleep covered in blood
    I killed this romance that once was
    as beautiful and serene as a dove

    Now my heart, torn in two
    years of love, you never knew
    all this time , baby where were you
    you stole my heart, left me no clue

    I wish I could take it all back
    the love and relationship that we lacked
    it seemed love slipped through the crack
    my life slowly falling off the track

    perhaps now I'll find something to write
    to enlighten my muse and set it to flight
    My muse works like a light bulb day and night
    my mind is set on this world's short life

    My heart is set on the love of Christ
    one man that paid the ultimate price
    his blood stained on a tree, the sacrifice
    I can only imagine them driving the spikes 

    All the hype over this one death
    can you not see the scars in His flesh
    Can you not see He gave you His breath
    the love of my God is within this flesh

    cool as a fan, that is why we honor the Son Of Man. because it was Him that showed us love, when He came from heaven above
