The Darkness Only Grows Darker

Your inglorious actions, your betraying ways
the vine continues to climb , forming the chains
imprisoned to these crumbling walls
walls of pain, walls of shame
destroyed to ruins by the flames
The flames of bitter beauty burns it away
I just need one taste of your poison
a single taste will open my eyes
let the skies bleed no more
Kiss this darkness. Kiss the shame
Who's to blame? blame for these violent ways
I rise above the oceans on her trembling waves
Your snarling teeth and sneering eyes
will pierce me no more,I will enter the door, unfailing
with my mind set on the truth, Is this heart worthless?
The world's love harmless or have I felt the reapers blade
have I become death's slave. Darkness arises , it's alarm
sounds as I force myself to face the fear of every tear I've cried
Where did this all go wrong? Have I died? Is this life all but a lie
The darkness only grows darker
I'm breathing fire, when will the waters quench
when will this soul be drenched
Lord of Mercy, help me find the light
the darkness I will retire, too long have I chased the fire

The beams of golden light, wake to the beauty of His delight
when I slept in the darkness it only grew darker
It was so hard to face those snarling teeth and sneering eyes 
I had becoem a victim, a victim to the lies
they pierce me no more , for I have entered His door
Now I walk and sleep in the light, the Light of God
that I've found, I stand on solid ground
