The Blame
Your love and lust shall set me free
To share with you the ecstasy
Of mutual satisfaction we
Earmed at an exorbitant fee
You know we met by happenstance
Your friends didn't want to dance
You winked and said "I'll take a chance
For the taste of a little romance."
In my arms I held you tight
I closed my eyes to dim the light
The warmth we shared seemed right
I surrendered to you without a fight
Captured, enraptured at first sight
Cupids arrow shot in flight
Her eyes filled with desire, shining bright
My heart and soul committed to her delight
The hours soon turned into days
And the days into nights of play
Nights to weeks then months I pray
That years would soon be on the way
Ten years have passed by the way
It hasn't been easy I must say
For all the blame at my feet lay
And my children were the ones to pay
