    In Darkness Bound



    The night so dark;
    the stars so bright,
    shining effervescent light.

    Patterned chaos;
    intersecting life,
    woven by the strife.

    Can't break the chains;
    they hold me tight,
    holding me here within the night.

    Darkness enveloped;
    within my mind,
    a comfort that is kind.

    It holds me safe;
    protection from reality,
    or the dreams that might consume me
