LEGACY

Poem Commentary

Just thinking of the REAL Last Days, and what it could mean.

LEGACY

How is it that we all* survive
When everything we eat was once alive

Fortunate we are that dinosaurs are dead
For we can roam the earth without much dread

But might it come to this at last
When everything that was - is passed

And just when everything has split
What's left is one gigantic pile of s--t!

[*all - right down to bacteria]

When it all comes down to it, if you were lost at sea, with no food and no hope of rescue, in a raft accompanied by a female of our species, would you be a breast or thigh man? Conversely, would you let her eat beef? Of course, if both of you were vegetarians I suppose it wouldn't matter. Are we what we eat? Just rambling, Drew.

Very funny, and so true. lol Here's a paradox: Upon death, we become a disgusting mass of noxious miasmatic waste, and have you ever noticed how some people are the same in life as in death?? Example: Hitler, that helter-skelter guy, and so on. I sure don't want that said of me! Whew! By the way, I DID write a novel "Rothburn's Legacy." (It's a cool book) I posted two chapters early last year. Enough about me, me, me, You are a wise ole' sage, fella. Good write. Thanks for blocking the four letter w--d. You are a sweetie.

You are a sweetheart. Do write more prose. You definitely have professional talent. Who were you in your last life?

It was an interesting thought, while thinking it.'-)

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
