Distracted by silence
Silence overwhelming louder than my thoughts
Messages coming in blocked
Messages heading out
Pushed out rough
Words shrinking
To size of dots
Positive space around them expand
Almost covering the room;
Sound nonexistent creating a noise
Blanking the back of my mind
Numbing my remaining lobes;
They don’t exist
But the objects around me grow
Pushing me out of the way;
I know I’m still solid
But I seem to be crushed
A jello mold melted
But still sitting up;
The only action left
Is to put down the book
And turn on my old friend the radio;
Thing’s will make more sense
When the noise is real
Thing’s will make more sense
When I’m not distracted by the silence.
