Then The Sun Rose Again
It bumped in the night,
The train came straight ahead then turned,
The roaring came close from the dark,
Terror screeched through cry in the jungle,
I stayed where I was at,
Then the sun rose,
To reveal it was all a hoax;
The rocks rumbled beyond the warm dry cave,
The bear growled and meandered by,
The earth beneath shook with fury,
My leg stood continuously strong,
It seemed the world ended right then,
As everything stilled,
While things moved on ,
Then the sun rose again,
And what I found,
Was I was not here no more but there;
Their screams rang true,
The shadows jumped,
The hungry strays circled,
The fire burned them,
I remained encircled by the fire of the truth,
The sun came up as embers died,
And I was and am still scratchless;
The rain hailed down and welled in ditch,
To flood over the woodland,
I floated with and swam against the tide,
To land on a mountains ledge,
The sun rose again,
And after all that was,
I see what will be,
I know the sun will always be there,
The light at the end of the tunnel was none,
There was no tunnel just darkness,
Broken by the sun rising above me again.
