    Calling in Tired

    My back doesn’t hurt

    I don’t have a fever

    My car starts and goes just fine


    My stomach doesn’t churn

    I didn’t drink last night

    And my vertigo has yet to return


    I don’t have food poisoning

    From the lunch area slop

    I have no allergies at all


    All my family’s alive

    My dog didn’t die

    But my cat just had kittens


    My house didn’t burn down

    Or get flooded out

    In fact I just repainted

     

    Sir, I’m not coming to work today

    For the plain and simple reason

    After 12 hour shifts for 9 days straight

    I’m tired

    And I don’t care if you believe it!

    if my mom could only take this advice! it would do her some good to call that boss man of hers. if she wont one day i will. lol sorry for the rant i love this poem though
