Why He Dances
Barren dance floor full of ghost
Not a soul understands why he dances to him self
He’s among the memories
They ask him how and why he dances so hard all night long
He dances with her in another world deep in his hearts past
Nobody can see the story in him
But they feel the pain in his heart
With each step in his dances
That he takes
The empty floor is overcrowded with ghost, some friends and then… there’s her poltergeist
At times throughout the night he pauses to check the time on his pocket watch
People ask why he checks the time on a pocket watch
When he’s wearing a watch
If they looked closer they’d see five words engraved on the cover
Love, Faith, Hope, Romance, Honor
The pocket watch was a metaphor for his life
And the five words are who he is
He gazed at it to count down the seconds
Sometimes minutes
Till he had the strength again to bare her loss
He dances till they shut down
They watched till he left the floor
He dances to bring back her love
For it was the dance floor where they first met
He dances for her…
Not a soul understands why he dances to him self
He’s among the memories
They ask him how and why he dances so hard all night long
He dances with her in another world deep in his hearts past
Nobody can see the story in him
But they feel the pain in his heart
With each step in his dances
That he takes
The empty floor is overcrowded with ghost, some friends and then… there’s her poltergeist
