The Goodbye Dance
He dances farewell to her memory
Saying goodbye in his own way
While others look on from the side of the floor
Some try to keep up
But inside he’s with her and the steps only move faster and harder
He can’t deny it any longer
It’s always been dancing
She’s always had his Heart since the first step
How to let go
He dances with a ghost
Others see a torn dancer, dancing by himself
He does not see the side of the floor, nor the club itself
He only sees the past
He only sees her
He knows it’s over so he dances in his own little world
Inside himself
He says goodbye “My LOVE” with every step
And every drop of sweat is nothing more than a tear in disguise
Over Her
He arrives before the floor is even open
Dances till the DJ’s played his last song of the night
Last to leave the floor
Still alone on the way home
Reality has hit
She’s gone forever
His love remains forever hers
He dances to say Goodbye
Saying goodbye in his own way
While others look on from the side of the floor
Some try to keep up
But inside he’s with her and the steps only move faster and harder
He can’t deny it any longer
It’s always been dancing
She’s always had his Heart since the first step
How to let go
He dances with a ghost
Others see a torn dancer, dancing by himself
He does not see the side of the floor, nor the club itself
He only sees the past
He only sees her
He knows it’s over so he dances in his own little world
Inside himself
He says goodbye “My LOVE” with every step
And every drop of sweat is nothing more than a tear in disguise
Over Her
He arrives before the floor is even open
Dances till the DJ’s played his last song of the night
Last to leave the floor
Still alone on the way home
Reality has hit
She’s gone forever
His love remains forever hers
He dances to say Goodbye
