Running Away
Running away from my problems,
pushing away all of my loved ones,
I'm hitting and kicking the walls,
and screaming to God for a miracle as I bawl,
I remember hearing her pleads,
And how I watched her place the gun to her head,
I screamed for her to stop,
I tried to get to her and get her to pause,
but as I watched her pull the trigger,
the life left her eyes as I staggered forward,
I caught her before she fell to the ground,
I couldn't believe her life was no longer bound,
I never knew how much my cousin had suffered,
I never listened or took the time,
I should of listened to her cries,
now I feel her blood on my hands.
pushing away all of my loved ones,
I'm hitting and kicking the walls,
and screaming to God for a miracle as I bawl,
I remember hearing her pleads,
And how I watched her place the gun to her head,
I screamed for her to stop,
I tried to get to her and get her to pause,
but as I watched her pull the trigger,
the life left her eyes as I staggered forward,
I caught her before she fell to the ground,
I couldn't believe her life was no longer bound,
I never knew how much my cousin had suffered,
I never listened or took the time,
I should of listened to her cries,
now I feel her blood on my hands.
