I Look....
Time has changed this weary traveler,
She looked to her own face,
She sees a puddle of water near,
She walks over and stares,
She doesn't recognize the face,
Yet she knows it very well,
She takes a hand to her face,
and her tears begin to fall,
She doesn't want to look anymore,
Yet she looks now even more,
She sees a young woman,
so alone and scared,
She sees a terrified woman,
so afraid of glares,
She is one that was so hurt,
and back stabbed many times,
She is one that shielded her heart,
so no one can get in,
She see her changes and she sighs,
She looks around and hides,
She swears to keep the pain inside,
She will not share the weight,
She walks to her family,
A face of smiles,
so that they never see,
she has so much hurt inside,
but only a few can see,
so she never lets her own guard down,
her heart and mind are sealed,
until the day one can mend the break,
She looks to no one else.
She looked to her own face,
She sees a puddle of water near,
She walks over and stares,
She doesn't recognize the face,
Yet she knows it very well,
She takes a hand to her face,
and her tears begin to fall,
She doesn't want to look anymore,
Yet she looks now even more,
She sees a young woman,
so alone and scared,
She sees a terrified woman,
so afraid of glares,
She is one that was so hurt,
and back stabbed many times,
She is one that shielded her heart,
so no one can get in,
She see her changes and she sighs,
She looks around and hides,
She swears to keep the pain inside,
She will not share the weight,
She walks to her family,
A face of smiles,
so that they never see,
she has so much hurt inside,
but only a few can see,
so she never lets her own guard down,
her heart and mind are sealed,
until the day one can mend the break,
She looks to no one else.
