Letting Go
Darkness overcomes me,
It has took control,
I give my love one last kiss,
Before I have to go,
I spread my wings,
And fly away,
Into the world unknown,
I close my eyes and think of times,
That were so long ago,
My heart aches,
When I think of them,
But now I let them go,
I gave my heart,
A chance to love,
But now I must let go,
I smile as I think of who,
Shall be my meal tonight,
I see it now a meal to please,
The urge I have so well,
I fly on down and take my meal,
And feed till I am good,
I erase the memory,
So that to them,
My kind never was born.
It has took control,
I give my love one last kiss,
Before I have to go,
I spread my wings,
And fly away,
Into the world unknown,
I close my eyes and think of times,
That were so long ago,
My heart aches,
When I think of them,
But now I let them go,
I gave my heart,
A chance to love,
But now I must let go,
I smile as I think of who,
Shall be my meal tonight,
I see it now a meal to please,
The urge I have so well,
I fly on down and take my meal,
And feed till I am good,
I erase the memory,
So that to them,
My kind never was born.
