Defiance

Things keep on happening,
Things never change,
Things only happen,
To those who remain the same,
She looks at everything,
And growls in annoyance,
She gave herself a chance once more,
Only to have it taken from her again,
She hates herself for it,
She needs to learn to watch it,
She needs to give up trying,
And needs to learn the lesson,
No one wants to be alone,
Yet some how all always are,
If only they all see her pain,
Then maybe the reason she does things,
Will give them prove of her feelings,
She hides her hurt with a smile,
And hides her aching with a grin,
If only they knew that she was loved,
And then had things break and fall around her,
She wants to give them a fighting chance,
But she is scared of being hurt again,
Please understand why she does what she does,
Forgive the mood swings,
Forgive the anger,
Please do not give up on her so easily,
Give her a reason to fight the doubts and fears,
Give her time,
Give her space,
In the end,
She will come around eventually.
