Empty Spaces
As I remember growing up,
I think how much I shook up,
the world as a young girl with a purpose,
to a girl completing that dream,
I remember all the jokes,
and growing up with all the folks,
my real father was never there,
so my uncles became the empty air,
so now I realize what I lost,
and now I realized what I miss,
my uncles that all passed away,
that no one can enter that empty space,
I wish I could hear their voice once more,
to say so love you and say so long.
I think how much I shook up,
the world as a young girl with a purpose,
to a girl completing that dream,
I remember all the jokes,
and growing up with all the folks,
my real father was never there,
so my uncles became the empty air,
so now I realize what I lost,
and now I realized what I miss,
my uncles that all passed away,
that no one can enter that empty space,
I wish I could hear their voice once more,
to say so love you and say so long.
