My life is lost and my life is bare,
I take the knife,
just standing right there,
My body tenses up,
I place the knife on my wrist,
I hesitate for a minute,
clenches my hand in a fist,
I press down on my arm,
closes my eyes and cuts,
I suddenly feel a presence,
as I look up and stare in shock,
He is standing in front of me,
He looks at me upset,
He grabs the knife from me,
He heals the wound that is there,
He takes me in his arms,
and holds me close to him,
tears run down my face,
as he whispers to me you lied,
for I promised him to stop,
but the pain was too great,
he looks gently into my eyes,
he takes into himself my pain,
I cry don't please give it back,
He looks at me with a glare,
I silence myself and cry,
still I look at him and smile,
he smiles at me and hugs me,
and walks off into the darkness,
I beg him not to go,
he comes back in haste,
he picks me up holding me close,
as he carries me into the shadows,
my dark guardian angel is what he is,
for he takes care of me well,
and though he will never even know,
my heart belongs to him alone.
