The Lost Child In Me
I may look mature,
I may look smart,
I may be 16,
I may be a sophomore,
but soon that sophomore,
will be a senior,
I act 18,
I don't act my age,
look into my eyes and see that 5 yr old,
the 5 yr old that never knew childhood,
the child that stayed hidden,
the child who learn young,
how to take care of herself,
who learn not to trust,
who learn not to love,
who learn only hate,
who learn how to cry,
that is the lost child in me.
I may look smart,
I may be 16,
I may be a sophomore,
but soon that sophomore,
will be a senior,
I act 18,
I don't act my age,
look into my eyes and see that 5 yr old,
the 5 yr old that never knew childhood,
the child that stayed hidden,
the child who learn young,
how to take care of herself,
who learn not to trust,
who learn not to love,
who learn only hate,
who learn how to cry,
that is the lost child in me.
