As The Days Past By
As the days past by,
I wonder and cry,
ask God why,
you had to die,
I wish it was a lie,
but then realize,
that it wasn't a dream and try,
to understand why,
but then I sit here and think,
and ponder and say,
this world stinks,
and say it wasn't a link,
my life has change,
my uncle paid his wage,
now I must pay my way,
to see his face,
one last time.
I wonder and cry,
ask God why,
you had to die,
I wish it was a lie,
but then realize,
that it wasn't a dream and try,
to understand why,
but then I sit here and think,
and ponder and say,
this world stinks,
and say it wasn't a link,
my life has change,
my uncle paid his wage,
now I must pay my way,
to see his face,
one last time.
