    Play Ball?

     Little boys laughing loudly
    Giggling little girls ,too
    Everyone's hiding, even Mommy
    It's true, so very true

    Come play with us at 
    Hide and Seek
    Johnny's IT, and counting
    "NO fair, Johnny, I saw you peek!"

    Run to base and then you're free,
    Just don't get  caught
    'Cause then  you'll be IT!
    And, all will be for naught.

    BUT, Can't find Mommy,
    Where can she be?
    The gang  is all looking.
    Where can she BE?

    Oh, well, I am tired
    of playing this game,
    Each  one says okay,
    They feel the same.

    So quiet when she peeks out
    Mommy wonders "Where did they go?"
    Did they give up, or.
    Are they still looking so...  ?

    Sneaking down the hallway,
    Toward the open door
    She hears little boys laughing
    Giggling girls and moro...

    That's Daddy shouting "Batter up,
    " Run and grab your glove, "
    Where is your Mother?" says he,
    Mommy shouts out,"I'm here", with love.

    this poem makes me feel like im playing the game. LOL its really a fun and loving poem just oozing with the tender love and care that u kno a goos mother has for her family and vice versa

    Yeah, it seems that we would play outdoors with abandonment, and Mom would be in the house doing all the chores...and just waiting for us to come in to eat supper...
