That's the Story of My Life
When I was only three years oldthe day I decided to exlore the world.
Every summer evening
he would walk with me down the block.
Our destination--a tiny grocery store.
Every neighborhood had one.
There I was introduced to popcicles.
and other goodies sweet enough to rot your teeth.
Wouldn't you know it!
When I was a spirited five,
my family went to a family reunion in Omaha.
While there I sipped
from a fountain in the park and contracted polio.
C'est la vie!
