Unexpected Night In July
Caffeine is my viceand I just happen to pull
up to your window.
Immediately I find a connection;
to you yet I flare a communication
based on tattoo design
that sparks the initial conversation.
I’m drawn to you
for what reason ever so
unnoticeable to me at the time.
Your sleeve, your neck, your eyes;
something pulls me in
and ever so gently I’m
attracted to you.
Unlike before;
the past, I’m asking more
then the unexpected.
I want you,
I need you, inside me
unlike anyone before.
I ask your name and I melt.
My favorite name on the planet.
So I pursue you with subtle implies.
your hesitant;
but I can feel you want me too.
I give you my card
in hopes you’ll reach out.
Balls in your court now.
You text, I reply.
We go meet up for our first
and hopefully not
the last encounter.
